Concerts
Is an 80-minute vaudeville-esque revue written for two
actors. The show’s host couple enters heaven, suspecting
their son pulled the plug… to get his hands on Dad’s vintage
Corvette. They don’t seem to mind. Instead, the couple
fondly remembers Pelican Roost, an active, full-service
retirement community. There, eighteen different characters
sing, dance, revel and celebrate their way through later life.
Musical sketches cover organ donation, legal issues,
hypochondriacs, spousal living arrangements, and much
more about life after 65.
One of the nation’s top Bluegrass bands, won the International
Bluegrass Music Association’s “Entertainers of the Year” award
in both 2012 and 2013. That organization also presented Eric
Gibson with the prestigious “Songwriter of the Year” award in
2013. The five-man group combines its wide-ranging
influences – live shows are often peppered with a variety of
covers ranging from Buck Owens to Tom Petty – into a unique
style that honors tradition while still sounding refreshingly new.
Brought up on a dairy farm in upstate New York, Eric and
Leigh Gibson formed the band in 1993 and have recorded 12
albums since then. Their repertoire includes material from
duos such as Phil and Don Everly (“Bye Bye Love” and “Crying
in the Rain”), Charlie and Ira Louvin (“Seven Year Blues”), Jim
and Jesse McReynolds (“Sweet Little Miss Blue Eyes”), and
Carter and Ralph Stanley (“How Mountain Girls Can Love”).
They also include a number of original songs written by one or
the other of the brothers. Concerts are always high-energy
romps through a range of genres. Vocal clarity is an important
aspect of their performances.
Are a new breed in the “tenor genre” – they include musical
comedy featuring classically trained veteran artists, combining
down home laughs with big city music! Written by opera-veteran
Matthew Lord, who appears along with Blake Davidson, and
Jonathan Fruge, the trio has been thrilling audiences since 2006.
Matthew Lord ‘s voice encompasses a repertoire ranging from the
18th Century to contemporary compositions of today. He has
performed in nearly every major opera house in the United States,
including the Metropolitan Opera House, where his 2004 debut
was in Boris Godunov
Blake Davidson is an award-winning singer whose experience
includes opera, symphony, and musical theatre. He has given solo
concerts at NYU, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and the Tokyo
Opera House
Jonathan Frugé is always funny and good for a smile, as well as
gripping in his vocal performances. He has performed solo at
Carnegie Hall (with the New York City Chamber Orchestra), the
Walt Disney Concert Hall, and the Meyerson Symphony Center of
Dallas.

Which is Nashua based, presents a program entitled "Jazz Through
the Decades," tracing the history of jazz from its early roots in
spirituals of the mid-1800s to the present day. Much of the repertoire
comes from the body of work generally known as the "Great
American Songbook" which encompasses the songs from the great
musicals and films of the 1920s through the 1960s. The group
strongly believes in that repertoire and feels that it needs to be kept
alive so that people young and old learn to appreciate its classic
nature. Commentary outlining major aspects of this genre’s
development and incorporation in America’s musical background will
be included.
The group consists of piano, upright bass, drums, sax/flute/clarinet,
and a vocalist to bring the songs alive.

Tony Pace - Saturday Oct 21, 2017 8 PM
Enjoys headliner status as a vocalist and entertainer in Las
Vegas, Atlantic City and around the world. With formal studies
at Boston University and Berklee College of Music, he has 40
years of experience in which energy, music and comedy collide
when he is on stage. He delivers hilarious musical comedy,
crazy characters, and versatile musicianship, all wrapped
around an incredibly serious vocal delivery.
Tony performed in 13 theatrical productions and with an 8-
piece band by the age of 18. He started his one-man show in
the 1990s. He turned a two-day contract at Atlantic City’s
Resorts Casino in 2004 into a 9-month long residency.
A move to Las Vegas then landed him a headliner position in
the main showroom at The Tropicana. He also enjoyed a
prolonged run at the Greek Isle in Vegas.
The blend of voice, talent, quick comedic wit, musicianship,
and a keen sense of his audience makes him a true
phenomenon.
The Four Freshmen - America’s most enduring vocal group. After
69 years, a multitude of recordings and 6 Grammy Award-
nominations, they forge ahead, constantly redefining their sound
while maintaining the core integrity of their unique and innovative
vocal harmonies. While The Four Freshmen happily pay tribute to
the history and evolution of the classic “Freshmen sound,” they are
unafraid to break new ground through songs that strike a chord with
listeners from any generation. Whether by re-imagining classic
standards such as “Come Fly With Me” and “Stompin’ At the Savoy,”
profoundly evocative and energetic interpretations of Antonio Carlos
Jobim’s seminal hit “The Girl From Ipanema,” or the introduction of
heart-wrenching originals like “A Little While,” these four
accomplished musicians exude nothing less than the energy,
sincerity, and passion deserving of the great music they perform.
